Hi just want to play safe, is it legal or okay to post games of chess grandmasters, fox example the world championship game of Anand and Carlsen in my blog?
What are the restrictions, no providing of PNG? etc.. I do not know the rules.. Anyone?

I don't think one can legally claim a chess-game, nor position, nor puzzle. So I assume you're good to go. Not sure if chess.com has any restrictions itself.

I think chess games are not copyrighted, annotated games on the other hand, are copyrighted. It means as an example that you can post a PGN from the Marshall vs Tarrasch game, but you can't post it with the Chernev's annotations from his "Logical Chess" book.

Oh thank you very much guys!

It is certainly okay to repost PNG-s. I'm not sure about GIF-s and JPEG-s. Not to speak of Portable Game Notation format ( PGN ).

sorry for the title guys, it should be PGN and not PNG.. I am not talking about GIF or JPEG or PNG picture screenshots of chess board game position.. I am talking with the grandmaster actual PGN chess games.
