to become a GM you need to be the "best 2400 hes ever seen". Being the best 1000 hes ever seen isn't really much of a compliment from finegold.

Its possible but... only a few in the world ever did it, you have to work day and night , fully on chess, also not play any fun variants (they will destroy your work), well if you wanna achieve then go crazy for it, otherwise I can't say, an GM almost takes 8 years of working very hard, 5 years is like 0.0001% cases.

It is actually impossible for a human to accomplish this. You'd first need to cross 2300 FIDE and become FM, and then for IM, you'd need 3 norms and 2400 FIDE. Then, for GM, you'd need 2500 FIDE and 3 norms.

Yes, Like and also first you need to become an intermediate player , 1300 FIDE+ which will also take 1 year like it takes 6 years minimum noone can do it before that.

And also if you just play normally and not work hard then probably you may end up even 1600 FIDE thats why.

From your level he took around 7 years, from 1200 FIDE 5.5 years to become an GM. So 5 years is canna impossible as its a slow process.
