Is it possible for me to become FIDE Master (FM)?

I just turned 16 in January.  If I study 2 hours a day (30min openings, 45min middle game, 45min endgame), play 30min of tactics a day, and play 5 rapid games a day (A total of 3 hours a day of chess), would it be possible for me to become a FIDE Master sometime in 2023 (18 years old).  What I am really asking is: Is my training schedule on a good track for me to be a titled player in 2 years.

Thanks,

Spencer

Best of luck on your plan. You are showing a lot of discipline.

I am very curious to here what a FM or CM has to say?

Have you looked into joining a club, or finding a local mentor/coach? They can offer you the guidance and resources that you'll need.

Though your rating here on chess.com is undeniably impressive, the only way to tell for sure is to start playing in OTB tournaments once things open up again. Rapid games on chess.com are good, but strong OTB games in live events are the only way you're going to get your official rating up. But it really looks as if you're headed in the right direction. Good luck!

You are young enough to get there but it will take some work. A coach at your age would greatly improve your chess.

I have no clue, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you did. For me, though, I’m just aiming for the NM title (I’m also 16 - but my bday is in Oct)
