I have tried it, Personally not a good method, I forget to move lol!!!
is it really playing drunk a good option?

..so this is the next strategical oriented step to just a simple "waiting move"..yes, much better simply to stop moving at all..." what now hey, what YOU gonna do bout THIS??"..sounds good...i'lltry

Thanks LongIslandMark but that alone does not prove much..it is crystal clear ST Patrick is too parcial about sober chess players games...

I have no idea as to what you meant to say but what I meant to say is I just end up staring at the board thinking all kinds of variation but in reality I never move a piece lol! J

If Ernest Hemmingway, alcoholic author of renown hadn't blown his brains out with a shotgun, I'm sure he could attest to the advantages of doing challenging activities while drunk.

Perhaps there is some cocktail of drugs, very difficult to achieve, that makes you play better than Bobby Fisher.
Peyote + Alcohol + Marijuana + B12 + caffinated beverages + concentrated valarian and scullcap. I cannot attest to this because I haven't used drugs for decades, so I might not be remembering it clearly :-)

Depends on what you are trying to achieve. I have never met anyone who was a better player being drunk as compared to staying sober. Especially in the long run...
much has been discussed (drunk people tend to be too repetitive, somehow), nothingh clearly settled...
