I am not that good at chess i don't get time to play I also agree
Is It Worth Putting Time Into Chess? ⏳🤔
My perception of return of investment is about money. If you think like mine, then chess isn't worth investing your time and effort.
I’d say get to an intermediate level (like 1800) where you can at least understand plans and basic opening knowledge. Or you can literally not even play games and stick to puzzles.
Well in the Midage every knight and by the way also the Ladys had to learn chess. It was part of the military education of a knight. Chess will improve your visualization and your ability to think logically. These are useful abilities in many fields. To reach this goal to have this benefit from chess its enought if you get a strength of 1400-1500. Then you can definately play chess and thats all u need. To become a master in chess you have to put extremely much effort and time in the game. and the result will be unclear because it also depends on your talent. The books are trash. Good teachers are rare or non existent and the retard mafia will kill any slave outthere that is able to beat them the shi out in chess. So if u r not from the retard mafia its dangerous. But the same in every field. If u have the potential to become a world class mathematician the retard mafia will kill u before. thats a sad fact. So it is dangerous to study chess extensively its unclear and even if u will come on master level u wont make much money with it. unless u r a top 50 player. but again if u r not from the retard mafia its very unlikely that they will hire you for example to play for their club.
So the answer is yes to improve in chess has overall benefits but to put effort to become master may be doesnt pay off much. And btw. chess is only a children game. if u learn a craftsman trade it has a practical value for reality and life.
Btw. members of the retard mafia know all this. They learn it already in their kindergarden. Thats why most of the craftsmen r from the retard mafia. thats y the most craftsmen r aholes. n this means btw. its dangerous to learn a craftsman trade. just a warning.
Any game or hobby can become obsessive. I have known people who spend way too much time, money, and mental energy on bridge, go, golf, pool, model railroading, baseball card collecting, stamp collecting, and other things. If someone becomes obsessed with chess, the problem is with that person and not chess.
Chess has benefits in cognitive skills—planning, concentration, patience, and so on. However, it also has social and esthetic value. A player who never advances past the novice level may still enjoy the art and history of the game.
This is such an obnoxious question and even worse follow-up paragraph. Just quit the game. You clearly have no passion for it. Chess as a whole would be better without you involved in it. Just go do something else that you consider a better investment of your time. Maybe play some Pickleball. Or checkers. Chutes and Ladders. Anything else. Just go away.

He would still probably adopt u gng 🙏
And if so, how much?
Don't get me wrong, chess is a fun and cheap hobby (or sport if you want to be difficult) that improves your structured thinking. However, the game has a tendency to become obsessive and other skills may offer more practical real world returns for the same time investment.
Probably not.
If it makes you happy, anything and everything is a good use of time in my opinion.
I agree with this young lad

Depends if your committed or not, most chess players will get into chess for a month and then stop.
