Is Magnus Carlsen a sociopath?

A world without sociopaths just wouldn't be the same, lol!

Have you considered the idea that while there is a difference between a predisposition and a causation that chess while not causing sociopathic tendencies may nurture latent ones in as much as it is unconcerned with the free exercise of the faculty of conscience but merely the ruthless application of logic.  Perhaps its this exclusive focus on anything but logic that may affect a persons behavior and outlook away from the chessboard?  Like arguing in real life the way one does in an internet forum. Interesting never the less.

I mean ur point is completely irrelevant. beating a kid with a few seconds isn't disrespectful, mean or lacking in manners. He has little time to begin with so he's playing fast. She has minutes, he doesn't.

This really isn't a point u can make to deduce Carlsen lacks manners.

also Yeah I already reported the account, seems it was closed.

Do you enjoy making kids cry?

Not really, but majority of kids won't cry if u beat them using almost no time. That's just petty. I'd feel bad for a kid if they did cry normally but in that specific situation it's just being a sore loser.

Watch me beat this guy using almost none of my time even though each player had a whole hour to make their moves.  Nothing petty about it,  we both did our best (:

39. bh6 would have been checkmate to white a whole lot earlier.

Looks like Paehtz Elisabeth dropped out. Magnus Carlsen was playing everyone for fools. He was almost dead last earlier in this tournament and now he's like 8th place. Who thinks that he will win the whole thing coming from way behind?...

In my experience, people with no morals don't usually advertise that fact.

Regarding the video, Carlsen's manners were perfectly fine. It would be disrespectful and possibly sexist to not play his top game.

as a person diagnosed with ASPD or more commonly known as sociopathy, I can garuntee Magnus doesn't qualify, taking a competitive edge and the impulsive dangerous acts without regard for the safety and feelings if others as well as yourself are two different things, chess is also difficult to constantly stick with having ASPD

This is a very good point. Going easy on someone because you'd beat them anyway can (and will) be seen as condescending.

Very interesting, but why did everyone forget the original content of the post? Carlsen admitted to not having any morals. That seems pretty bad to me. Also, where is this video people are referring to?

I believe he's joking...

he might be joking, but he still went ahead and did something that he admits "should not be allowed." And his only justification for doing that is he "has no morals." If he does have morals, why did he do something that he admits should not be alllowed?
