People like to get very over-opinionated about such things, especially those who aren't so good at Blitz. Blitz just is what it is. Use it for what you want. It's up to each individual how they let it affect their chess ultimately.
Is Playing Blitz That Bad?
blitz is bad for you chess, since "blitz" and "bad" start with the same letter (b)
That would still make a better argument than what I’ve seen.

It's bad only if you're not good enough to be able to play slowly after playing blitz

I am pretty sure 95% of 2000+ player will be playing 5 min blitz or less games.
The point is that when I started playing chess it took me 5 mins to win KR vs K endgame, but now I just need 5 seconds ( with premoves).
I really needed minimum of 30 mins games in my beginner stages to get a good plan, now 3 min is enough to get a much better plan than those days.
Biltz is chess, and playing chess makes you better. However, if in serious training, classical is the way to go.

I am rather sure it might destroy your game at least your performance in classical chess can deterior. But there is also a positive sight: You can try more stuff, analyse different openings because you play more games against more different opponents.
Maybe spotting good move at a glimpse can help in other chess games.

I still don't see how it can make your classical chess worse. Your chess can't get worse by playing more chess. You may not improve by much, but I don;t think you can get worse in Classical. But that's just my opinion.

It depends, if you try cheapos your chess playing skills will deteriorate, but If you play blitz likes it chess your classical will probably improve.

Even if your not playing for cheapos blitz just builds way too many bad habits for it to be anything but counterproductive for your che ess improvement.
Actually for me, I mostly play rapid and longer controls in over-the-board games, but blitz and bullet online. I have no idea why, but these conditions seem to be the best for me.

Well, you have a good point there...
What does "rapid" represent?
Think twice...
There are still tons of players letting time run out in 10 min blitz games...
I'm seeing many forums about this, and I've seen a lot in the past. This is usually in an argumentative form.
People are arguing about how Blitz damages skill, and rather ironically, these same people aren't very good at chess. And even funnier is those that quote GMs from the 1900s about Blitz.
I don't see a problem with mixing a lot of Blitz into your chess as it can help you get familiar with openings.
But there's no way Blitz can really damage your chess.
My classic analogy is this.
Playing rapid and longer time controls is like doing homework at your pace.
Playing blitz is like sitting for a 2-hour examination paper.
Playing bullet is like coming 1.5 hours late for the same examination paper and having only half an hour left to complete the same paper.
