The only reason I don't use my real name here is because I've largely moved on from it. No one has called me Thogdon Skullsplitter since elementary school.

Name by itself really isn't much use to anyone.  You know every time you buy something on line or in person with check or credit card you are giving away your name and your bank information and or card number!
