No, but making 3 forums a day is!
Is slow chess really worth playing?
Completely. When intuition starts to become a boundary, this is the type of chess you need to play in order to improve it, and ideally play with higher rated players than yourself, then w/ your own rating.
having time to make a master plan, while your opponent throws dirt in the eyes of said plan. and the beautiful moment it all comes together and you get to pre move a couple moves in a row because you know exactly how its going down. i understand 10 mins or less is fun and more exciting but i see it as gut reaction game instead of what (personal opinion) i think chess should be. a mental battle of planning and strategy rather then gut reaction and quick thinking.
Rapid is the fastest kind of chess I even like. I have tried a bit of blitz and I just do not enjoy it.
I want time to sit and really consider the position and think about what I want to do next. I've never understood why blitz became so popular.
I know there are some people out there who think that blitz is somehow more exciting for spectators but even then it moves much too fast for me. There's no time to really analyze and understand the position before the next move is made.
There was a study done in the 1920's where two young Russian Grandmasters played a game of chess where they were allowed one year per move. The study was concluded 68 years later when one of the GMs passed away from natural causes.
In 2013, the game was analyzed with the most powerful chess engines available and it was determined to be a drawn position and that the GMs had performed with near-perfect play. According to computers analyses, this particular game was the closest humans have come to achieving perfect play in chess.
Claro que vale la pena jugar al ajedrez, pude ser alguna veces lento, otras muy rapido, siempre es una emoción jugar al ajedrez.....
