So it must be people like you who come from abroad with trash rating,  and then winning all the class prizes at Millionaire Chess.

These online tests are about as accurate as an online test to be a surgeon.  "Hey look!, I scored 87%...I would make a pretty good surgeon"

Yes..if it was the civil war...maybe.

Well, Mr. 1523, when did you last played in USCF rated tournaments?

Since your blitz rating here is 2100+ I will assume that you are an expert strength player, maybe an A class if you're really good in blitz and suck at slow time control.

If I had your strength with 1523 uscf rating, I would sing up for U/1600 section at the World Opengrin.png

Just my opinion...

Online ratings mean squat.

These online tests can never be believed. It needs a human to evaluate a person's rating.

Considering that people cheat with opening books and engines, your chess.com rating is probably low.   I play some people at 1500, and they're weak as bunnies.  Then the next 1500 is playing like a grand master.

My chessdotcom blitz rating is the most accurate one that I have. I play nearly every day and have done so for a decade more or less. My USCF, in contrast, is based on one to four events per year. Moreover, I live in a city with a small number of chess players, including a large number of underrated youth, and most of my opponents are locals. On chessdotcom, in contrast, my opponents are from all over the globe.

I should note in reference to what I suspect is behind your question that in chess ratings there are no “real” and “fake”. All ratings are equally real. “Accuracy” is a statistical concept. The greater the data set, the more accurate the conclusions that can be derived from the data.

Based on your move choices, our estimate of your Elo rating is 2562, with a 95% confidence interval of [2540...2703].

lol

I don’t trust this website as much as I trust the American president (i.e., <0).

No. People are either rated  too low or too high. No one is 3000+ fide,in the world, but some break 3100 or even 3200. Also some people have a tactics  strength of over 5000, the number  1 being at 15000.

You are a uscf 1470

Well my blitz rating at one point was 1527. Exactly one month later, my USCF went to 1527.

 Perfect!

How do these three year old threads get resurrected?

In my oppinion, no.

Based on your loss to a 1300, I would not give you a tactical rating higher than 1200.

It is not that  you lost, so much as the way you did.

Not what you have knowledge of but what you can do is the only thing important in chess. For example, you may understand that an isolated pawn is weak in certain positions; but having the skill to exploit it is another matter.

Hey, we agree! I also dont trust this website as much as I do the president. But that's because of the actions of both. The latter, based on performance, is a lot more trustworthy than the former.

I think the online rating vs over the board ratings are pretty close, but that's only for me. I've seen other people have online blitz ratings that are way too high, and I've  seen some 1200 rated players play 800 or even a thousand points above their rating, so it varies wildly. Like you said, these ratings are not trustworthy at all.

Darkbluelord

I'm an NM and have had the hardest time getting up to 2200 on chess.com. After speaking with Dzindi (who was my coach for a short while) he says that the rating on chess.com are grossly deflated. So a 2100 on chess.com could be a 2300 uscf.
