Is the entire field just getting stronger lately?

I’m almost at my lowest rating in a year and I’ve played a decent number of games (around 3000+).

I know winning streaks and losing streaks happen but my rating has been on a steady decline so my guess is that the people on this site are getting stronger in general while I’m stationary. 
Or, while I would rather not think this way, there are more cheaters. 
Just want to see if anybody else notices this. 

I mean, this was a particularly bad game for me. But in the past I would also encounter people playing badly in my favor but that seems to happen less even at around 800. 
So this lead me to think that maybe 800 now is stronger than 800 around 6 months ago. 

I noticed it too. I suddenly am having a really hard time to get back and stay rapid 2100.

But it is ok. Making me want to train chess harder. It will be a solid 2100 if I get back.

You are right.  The average rapid was around 1100 a few years ago.  Now it is around 825.  They used to start people at 1200, now they start at 800.  This means the entire curve has shifted left, so it is harder to maintain your former level.

I am sad now, i could ahve I higher rating from the looks of it if i joined befroe

I know, I wish someone could teach me some new stuff.
