Sure, play any game that uses the Elo formula.

There's also FIDE online, but that's also not what people usually mean when they say elo. The FIDE online ratings are separate from the usual FIDE ratings.

When people talk about Elo they usually mean FIDE OTB rating... which you can only get Over The Board (OTB), not online.

chess.com uses a modified Elo formula to creat ratings.  Indeed, Elo methodology is used for a number of different games/sports.  For example, the USAT (table tennis) uses an Elo approach.
