about chess, that would make him go "dang i never saw that" suprising him with your chess understanding

in terms of tactics, positional play etc.

chessmaster54458

anyone?

chessmaster54458

no one?

Radical_Drift

Superking? Is that you?

MrDamonSmith

Yep, its superking500. He got all slick on us didn't he? But we're onto ya superking! Hahahaha......

Superqueen500

Superqueen500 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Superking500

Jimmykay

no. stupid question.

MrDamonSmith

I was once on a chess team & one of the members wanted to name us Uncle Tom & The 3 White Squares.

kleelof

Bitch slapping your opponent. I'm sure he's never seen that.

PlentyOToole

There are plenty of openings he could be taught.

right...there are openings that a 1700 player knows that he does not. ok...

they say his opening are weak, but that is very much a relative statement. There is not an 1800 player who can teach him opening knowledge that he does not know.

What about the Bird Opening? Or the Hedgehog? I have more experience playing these openings than Carlsen.

you MAY have played them more often (maybe not), but do you really think you have something to TEACH him about these positions? Seriously.

No relevance.

Completely relevant. Try reading the original question again. Your naivety about how much better he is than you is astonishing.

Under-The-Tide

I could teach him to stop drinking orange juice during his games.

MrDamonSmith

Heck, there aren't 2700 or 2800 rated players that can teach him openings he doesnt know. Think about it: if there were, then they WOULD be. I mean, the very best in the world DO prepare very hard for him & how has that been working out?

dpnorman

I could show him blunders he's never seen before. How's that?

exactly. And a 1700 player here thinks he can teach him Bird's and the hedgehog. Utter nonsense.

Hahaha!  There's a player with a sense of humor!

---------------------------------------------

I know, right? There were 3 white players & 1 black player named Tom & he thought it would be a good name. Thinking about it now it would've been hilarious & we should've picked that one but instead went with my dumb idea "You got the white ones, baby." It was when that Pepsi commercial was playing that went " You got the right one, baby."

Uncle Tom & The 3 White Squares might have had a chance to win best name. It was at the Amateur Team East. I don't know if they still have competitions for best names, costumes, etc.

JubilationTCornpone

I don't know...can he juggle?

The OP meant in chess.

So you'd have to juggle chess pieces.Laughing
