Haha comparing chess with dice games is rhetorical, meaning that CGPT actually uses rhetorical devices to try to WIN arguments! That's verging on the ridiculous, regarding the way it's been programmed.

You've hammered the nail with that argument, that is hallucinating as they call it. And yes, just go on the site and subscribe I think it is still free. Did not used it for a year long but it could make scripts in any code to do whatever you want essentially.

I always said from start it will replace google, well look. They compete now with their bard and it's everywhere .

err0r909

1st pc MAC, then stolen and exploited to Win(OS), www bubble > clouds> now it's this evolution.

Are you old enough to remember DRDOS?

off course, DDoS? was simple when it was only http without s > means secured on servers.

DRDoS came later.

err0r909

Overcharge the site with data that much it crash? yes.

err0r909

Now they aim servers using as I said before DNS to get to that server.

err0r909

A DrDoS attack, which stands for Distributed Reflection Denial of Service attack, is an advanced form of a DDoS attack where reflection techniques are used to amplify the attack traffic, overwhelming the targeted server or network. Attackers compromise systems to make them appear as if they are attacking a chosen target, redirecting or reflecting their requests to the victim's systems. This technique aims to flood a network resource with more traffic than it can handle, making it unavailable to legitimate users. DrDoS attacks require prevention measures such as rate limiting, blacklisting suspicious IPs, redundancy with multiple servers, and upstream filtering by internet service providers to mitigate the risk of overwhelming targeted resources

edit: the real solution is shut down all all servers get the bugger out and rebalance traffic load.

We could make a site that where anyone is on it he overdoses the targeted site... That is the reflective effect.

to add in edit, the ip is not where it comes from but a site where it is hosted on a cloud server e.g.

to assess in edit, it is useless if you don't iniate other attacks in mean time, it just delays time and costs a site thousends of $/hour.

I think that microsoft's sabotage of DRDOS set software and programming permanently back by 10 to 15 years, because it was so simple and natural. The deliberate sabotage should have gone to the courts and someone should have been in jail. Maybe Gates. Losing DRDOS means that tens of thousands of programmers were lost to the world and some of them would have come up with something good .... far better than anything produced by microsoft.

You are right sir, but it is not MicroSoft that found the solution as there's many DDoS going on as I see on X or Nitter as example but techies from encrypted servers.

I won a Live Blitz game against an opponent ("monsieur") after I badly blundered and he badly blundered twice. As I was about to checkmate him he told me I was winning because of "luck".

I definitely didn't play brilliantly and my rating is low (about 1450) but he played worse than me so I beat him. For me, that's not luck.

I have also sometimes been called "lucky" after an opponent has dominated me positionally, but then made a blunder I have checkmated him.

Can you get lucky in chess? Or are there only good moves and bad moves?

Sure there's luck in chess. But it takes different forms.
Many examples of it.
One of them is: 'Luck is where opportunity meets preparation' ...
but there's so many kinds.
Like who you are paired with in a critical round of a tournament and what kind of shape he/she is in ... maybe they had a bad night or a bad morning ...
maybe they are distracted as they are playing you.
Luck over the board itself? Sure.
You both appear to play well. No obvious mistakes for a while.
But then one of you does make a mistake - not immediately apparent - but visible if enough time and care is taken ...
And it happens to be your opponent who made that mistake first.

" As I was about to checkmate him he told me I was winning because of "luck". "
That's poor sportsmanship by that opponent.
I would probably block such an opponent from then on.
But I wouldn't see it.
Game chat can be disabled.
Games can be talked about after - if the two opponents are going to discuss.
Talked about by pm. Personal chess.com message.
Also called dm these days too - direct message.

In my opinion the sabotage of DRDOS by microsoft meant that an entire generation of programmers was lost and probably ended up in systems analysis or something else not remotely useful for progress. The last version of Windows that I could understand without thinking too hard about it was either Windows2 or Windows3, I forget which. That's when they started using trojan horses embedded in code and using vast amounts of extra, useless code to prevent their systems being analysed. It also meant that we couldn't understand it enough to get rid of the glitches or to develop it.

It is all about the $, you know that www is dominated by porn? That data they sell and keep etc and many other facets like buying youtube etc , talking bout google as example.

The best ever.
But not something to worry about. There's thousands of billionaires.

Yes, there is.

I had a checkmate, but it was my opponents move, so I stared hardly at another part of the chess board. He thought I would do something over there, so he moved a knight into that 3x3 square, and I checkmated.
