I’ve been wondering, every time I play a game there’s always a knight or bishop trade in the first few moves and I’m not sure if this is good or not.

Usually trading a bishop for a knight is not good but there are some exceptions like if the pawn structure of your opponent gets bad and you know a way to take advantage of that
