How Did You Improve at Chess?

climbed from 1200 to ~1700 rapid over the last couple years. what helped most? reviewing every loss (not just letting the engine spit out evals), doing puzzles slowly like real positions, and playing openings I actually understand, not just memorised. For me that’s London/Caro. Also—learning endgames (Silman’s book is solid) made a big difference once I stopped dropping pieces every game.

my tip: don’t just watch content—pause videos, guess the move, ask why it works. that changed how I learn. improvement’s slow but adds up. your plan looks solid—stick with it, tweak what doesn’t feel right, and you’ll get there.

Practice puzzles...work on your calculation, improve your opening choices and check whether it fits your style..play atleast 2 games everyday..
