Interesting thread. I don't like playing people that have no avatar either for some reason. Maybe they're just lazy or don't see the point. I don't think it's necessary for it to be a self photo. I do like to see some image.
Oh...though I don't like it when people have animal images really. It's a pet peeve of mine from long ago.
I have friends on here who use avatars of all sorts.
One uses Alfred E Neuman from MAD magazine (does that still exist?).

Sounds like someone might be smitten.... No wonder she wanted her location kept private.
for some reason it's mostly domestic animals that annoy me in pictures. You'd have to change it to your dog. These other creatures still seem to have personality.

Yes i agree with you.. Pictures of yours can show the oponents else it looks like that playing agaisnt any computer....
