in all fairness as much as i love fischer he would had been crushed by kasparov if their match happened as fischer is retired (seemingly) at kasparovs era.. kasparov vs carlsen on the other hand should be an interesting duel as kasparov (also seemingly) still got his aptitude for chess and still analyze games as good as anybody in the world is. With the right kind of preparation if that match ever happens.. im rooting for kasparov.

Edit: oh yeah, off topic. Sorry. Carlsen would beat Kasparov about 60-65% of the time, just like Anand. I happen to believe that if Kaspy returned to full time tournament play & got in shape first for maybe 1 year he would be around 2750 right now.

Kasparov was 2812 when he retired and Carlsen is 2872 today. Kasparov is bound to be considerably weaker almost nine years after his retirement than he was then, and I think he cares enough about his legacy not to want to risk such a match.
