Why does it take like almost 3 minutes to find a blitz game at 2000?
*sigh* You are not giving me much to look forward to with my rising rating (approaching 1800 again and 2000 I hope xD).
Sadly, the reason is probably because fewer 2000+ rating players exist! The computer can only pair you with someone online. It isn't a problem for a rating like 1000 or 1500 because there are many players of that rating level, but 2000+ is where it really starts getting noticeably less. An online friend of mine (rated about 2600) complained a similar problem, but it was taking them even longer than yours to get a game (internet connection wasn't the problem they said). I sadly had the inform them the reason. At this level, it is even tougher to get a closer paired opponent than 2000.
Due to this, I recommend friending some 2000+ rated chess.com players (they are in the same boat as you, so they may want to play games with someone as well). Another reason "high ratings" are tough to reach is because of this problem of less players near the top. Usually we win 8 points per win if someone is around your rating (elo and glicko rating systems), but related to players being less often at your level, you will find many 2000+ players playing more games against lower-rated competition: this translates to "winning" less points upon each chess game won, on average.
