Good luck.

You can easily change the background, pieces, and table size...

There is program called flux, but if is it your permanent decision, then I won't stop you. Computer chess can't replace real chess, but it can help.

OMG yor gramer is amazin'!i wishh i had thit goood gwammarr!!!

You're fine ;)

English is my primary.

Actually, the grammar is fine.  Don't know what etc2000chess is on about.

To be fair I never liked computer chess. I like real chess against a human being on an actual board where I can feel the pieces. And I'm not very computer savvy, I just play online for convenience. That's why I'm giving up on chess.com. The interface is atrocious, I'm staring at a gleaming white screen until my eyes water, hunched over in pain. If there are ways to change the time/screen size and colour etc. I have no idea what those are and I'm tired of searching and wasting my time to find them. I've been using chess.com for like 5 years! I don't always want to play an incredibly fast, difficult game. I just want to veg and get a little practice in. But chess.com wants to tell me how long my game should be, who I should play, what my board should look like and what their rating should be. Those are my choices not yours. Don't even get me started on the pitiful time cheats. I feel like I'm playing at Washington square park against the hustlers. My move=my time. Guys can make 10-15 moves in a second?? I don't have the energy nor the nature to learn how to cheat so I can compete and the longer the game the more pain to my eyes and body. There seems to be no unlimited time control, of course if I did that there would still be cheats. I'm leaving chess.com permanently. You need a total overhaul in my books. Buh-bye.

Computer chess is funny. I think it is better than play chess in local clubs due a lot of things:

- you can know people from all around the world;

- you can troll in the foruns, LOL;

- you do not need to move from your home.

The dark side is internet chess may become easily an addiction, but you need to be aware about it.

Update: Haven't been on chess.com since 2015 apparently as I've just opened the site on a larf and found a lot of comments on this old post. In between random cracks by dudes with no job I see a lot of helpful comments so thanks to those peeps for making the effort. I play at lichess now and it's better in every way. I only opened the site today to look around for Nakamura's Knockout! If you like this site more power to you. I needed a different option and I found what I was looking for.

By the way, just now on lichess I made 30 moves in 2.5 seconds.

Whining about time cheats when you don't even know what premove is.

Well, it's been 3 years, so maybe you've learned by now.
