I've reached 2000 rating in puzzle, but...

It's been a while since I played puzzle. I finally reached 2000, but I'm curious whether the puzzles here is effective for improving my tactics recognition on a real game. Honestly, I think 5 puzzles a day (I don't have a membership) is too little but I haven't bought a membership yet so idk about that one.

I think that drilling easier puzzles like the ones you see in Puzzle Rush is valuable prep for game play.

I guess the most important thing is when a player realises that he has to play a game having the learned patterns in mind. There is a huge difference between solving puzzles and playing games and trying to get the positions where you can use your tactics. For example, usually I spot a smothered mate in seconds when I get the position in a game, but often I am not trying to get such positions, which is bad, of course.

5 puzzles a day is probably not enough except if they are very hard. Luckily there's chesstempo along with other sites and apps that offer similar to what chesscom does but free.

I like to do puzzles in the newspaper cause the hard ones are really difficult to solve.

I’ve just reached 2000 and I’ve been a member since 2009 !

I want to get big-headed but I’m not sure whether it’s an achievement!
