Why on the earth we see players playing Napoleon.. A question that baffles me alot.
You see someone who have played like 3000+ games and still play this opening.. I mean, where is the fun on beating a newbie that fast? Don't you want to continue the game for at least 5 minutes? Or you hate chess? Plus, this newbie who fails at Napoleon opening (or who lost a rook with one of this opening variants) is already a weak player, you arguably can beat him with any normal opening.
Especially at the non-specialized gaming platforms (platforms who have tens of quick games). But even at those, you will rarely find a player who falls on them as they're just very primitive.
Those are also the same players who puts two red dots on connect 4 (another game). Just players searching for easy wins over thousands of games!
For me I have never played Napoleon except for some tests, as I'm just not ready to waste like 10+ games to find a player who fall under it. Also when I find a player who try to play Napoleon on me I just always stall and act stupidly, they think I may haven't caught the trap but I just want to develop my pieces instead of quickly defeating this trap by Nf6.
