Game analysis with annotations didn't save & corrupted file (Solved)

When I clicked back to the analysis link the game had only like 12 moves annotated!

Reminder I clicked save at least like 3 times.

Also I saved it in my "archived games" but for some stupid reason when I open the folder, the game cannot be clicked on, it's just there, but it isn't a link it somehow messed up the whole library folder.

The folder does literally nothing..

When i go into "saved analysis" it's not there at all either. Zero trace.

why did this happen?

I see a 54 move game. Looks like you can select it and download it.

I'll try and look deeper when I get to a ful browser.

Doesn't work for me at all.. All other archived folders function, in this one I cannot even click on the game.. That is not even the issue though, I can access the game from a profile. My issue is annotations are missing, despite saving them..

This used to happen to me too, it's why I finally started using lichess

So this is what I found. There's some error either in the creation or reading of PGN file by Chess.com. Because I downloaded PGN of this given game and annotations ARE there. But that same PGN that Chess.com it cannot then load and read: saying "Unable to load with provided data."

Lichess will open it but shows no annotation, even tho they are contained in the file.

If you provide me email address I can send you the PGN file to find the core of the issue.

I would guess it's not a "universal" issue, somehow just this one game got corrupted after saving and doesn't function in library, doesn't show up in saved analyses. But it would be good to dig into why it that happens.

I saw the same thing on the file but won't be able to check further until later.

OK, there is an annotation of $222 on move 27 in there that the Analysis board doesn't like and probably what is breaking Library.

So, if you download the PNG, strip that part out and upload, you'll have the whole game with annotations.

Oh man, thank you, finally it works for me and I recovered the file.

It's strange because I didn't put "$222" there, it still must have been generated by the site.

I let staff know about it and it probably does tie to an annotation, though I didn't find it in a quick search.

I have problems too losing my annotations when I try saving to libraries. Frustrating.
