In this game, by Gabor Kadas, he shows total disregard for rules, and wins anyway. Here it is.

Wow. Just wow.

12. Bc4 was needed

I couldn't figure out how to add an alternate line properly. When I pressed it started with 12...Be8. If you would tell me how, I'll add it.

Done. Added 12... Bc4.

In the sideline, 16. Bxg5 seems to be a mistake. White wants the pawn of course but he can't afford to allow Ne4+, since this opens the h file for black. Even though material is even after 18. Qxg5, black has a substantial edge due to whites weakened king, ideas like Qc1+ and Re8 etc. The real game is of course far more picturesque, so I'm glad Arkhipov didn't find Bc4

The sideline might not be 100% accurate, but you get the idea.

Kg8 was a weird move the 22nd

THIS. Give me a real chess game like this over boring memorized theory and "classical"ism anyday.

m_connors

That was pretty amazing!

White would have regretted his weird opening play after 7. ... Bd6. Very strange that this wasn't played.

There is a certain kind of beauty to this style of chess. Kadas' game feels like a love letter to the romantic era of chess in the 18th century before it was turned into a "scientific" game in the 19th century.

looking at this post and the fact that your bullet rating is still at 600ish elo after more than 20k games, it seems like chess might not be for you.
