keep getting disconnected

lately every game I've played I get disconnected after a few minutes, and I have not been able to finish a game in a couple weeks. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

DO NOT USE LIVE CHESS unless you understand that it is very new and unstable. You WILL be disconnected randomly. You WILL experience lag. You WILL be disappointed if you expect anything else. :)

The chess.com staff here are working really hard on making Live Chess as fast, stable, and amazing as possible. In the mean time, please be patient!

For the BEST EXPERIENCE on Live Chess we recommend using FireFox or Safari browsers (as Internet Explorer has some issues).

 

 which part is annoying? getting disconnected? or having people complain after you have warned them?

In 18 games, I have been disconnected once.  I upgraded my Firefox from 2.0 to 3.0 after that & have not been disconnected since (14 games).  I have had my opponent disconnected twice (same opponent, consecutive games).  I have no complaints about that ratio - especially when the site acknowleges & is working to improve.

 I do wish that there was a way that the disconnects would not affect your rating though.

I apologize for being to lazy to search for the answer myself, after all I am supposed to be working. Anyway I have been playing on this site for some time and have only been disconnected a couple of times until recently, so I thought it was something else giving my problems. However I am going to continue playing on this site and anxiously await the improvements.
