resiging is not always a bad thing.
kicked out!

I was kicked out of a group too for suggesting we resign in a hopelessly lost position in a vote chess game. I'm imagining it was the same popular group with the same schoolyard mentality. You're best out of it - I've since joined several other groups who have supportive, friendly communities and are lacking in childish dictator admins.
Join your world league group and I'm sure they'll welcome you with open arms.
I am all for the Chess group ' Chess Of Winers' if u need help starting it let me know i can get some of my peeps to help with it
when you have made up your minds get back to me
peacs out

I think most of you should form a group called 'Chess for Whiners'... but hey, I could be wrong.
Could be.

That doesn't seem right... but then, in most democracies, some are more equal than others!
That was a communism from the moment that Jones was expelled. It then grew into a dictatorship, and regressed to the original state.
I'm sorry, that comment was unnecessary. I posted it late at night when my brain was at about 60%, and I couldn't help referring to one of my favourite books.

Yeah that admin. sounds like a world class jerk. Take the advice of some of these people and join a new group. One without a little Mussolini wannabe telling everyone what they will and will not do so long as they are a part of the group. I do understand that alot of groups have specific rules and ethical guidlines they want you to follow, and thats fine. Whenever you kick people for voicing a harmless opinion such as voting to resign or for participating in a puzzle contest by a non group member that is ridiculous and petty.
If that's the whole story, then they did you a favor... it's not worth being part of a group that runs itself like that.
Seems kind of an odd story, though... how did they know you voted to resign? Is there a way to see who voted for what in Vote Chess?
Clearly the admins can. I do not think the others can though. To be fair..I "was warned." When I again submitted a resign vote..all done.
I'm a super admin of a group, and I can't see who's voted for what. That seems strange... Then again, no one's voted to resign yet in the group... So maybe they get notified when someone votes to resign.
