If you look over to the side of this page, you'll see something interesting called "Most Recent Posts". I saw this thread on there because someone (hint: you) posted on it, and I assumed (correctly) that I would find something hilarious on here. I'm assuming you must be delusional to believe that someone would use a second account just to troll you, instead of the more logical conclusion that a random user found your post on the revived thread and decided to point out the irony in it. I assure you I am not goldprospector, and I'm not sure why you would think that, although I find your paranoia and delusions mildly funny. Besides, I prefer to play chess, not the "Who can screw up less in 60 seconds?" that you play.
So, despite spending the last year trying to ignore every flavor of the most offensive racism and misognyny in the chat here (and messaging the admins with suggetions on this issue), I decided to purchase an account because some of the features are worth paying for.
Today, I apparantly made the cardinal sin of saying a "naughty" word in chat. I am now kicked and unable to log back in despite being a paying member.
I understand young people play here. But all you have to do is spend an hour in the top games chats to be exposed to every nature of ACTUALLY offensive nonesense from jew-hatred to woman bashing. Most of it coming from the same children who apparantly can't handle 1 adult using a "naughty" word with another adult.
Apparantly its perfectly logical that we not expose our children to a meaningless word, but actual hate and ignornace is par excellance.
Get real. And either let me back in or give me money back.
You want to kick free users fine, but I'm not paying to be denied services. And if you want to kick anyone then you better start kicking people for saying something a whole lot more offensive then a word that everyone over the age of 8 uses.
LMAO!! And you called me a child. PLEASE!!!!!!
Then I read what was sent back at you.

And then theres the guy that searches it out. Or perhaps its the same guy with a different account, hmmmmmm. I can't imagine someone else just stumbling on to a 9 month old thread. (...)
Or, he uses the "recent posts" feature. Well, internet forums are barely 15 years old, I guess we understand you are not geared up technology-wise.
Or, like me, he posted once in this thread and then received notifications when someone necro'ed it.
In both cases, a cabalistic comment like #20 make curious minds investigate why the hell you came on that thread.
(Oh look, a 4-year-old account designed specifically to troll you! Tell staff to investigate!)
This is exactly why i will never play for this service, because the admins in this service do not act consistantly as to how people use words, profanity should not be the word, but its intent and not even perceived intent but its actual intent< I wish I could support this site because it is a noble game and I want to support it some way, its just people all over the world need to speak peace and with respect to each other and speak the truth to build each other up and not tear them down
The issue is simple, and it hasn't changed since the OP's post 2 year ago.
Using the "but teacher, he did it, too!" defense is never going to make sense. If you cuss and you cannot seem to control yourself like a mature adult, then turn off chat by default. If you don't and you get muted/suspended, then it's completely your fault.
And here is a perfect example of exactly what is wrong with this site: it is apparantly perfectly acceptable to equivocate a meaningless cuss word with rampant hate speech. 105mph and 125mph? Please. No employee response on that?
Go look at Reddit today and on the front page you'll find Richard Dawkins uttering the ole "F" bomb at a public science education forum.
It happens. Especially during a 1 minute game of chess when your mind is on more pertinent tasks like your next move and proofreading is not an option.
Meanwhile, if one wants to observe games between masters, one is forced to watch hate speech scoll across the chat. There is no option to disable this when you are observing, only when playing. I've made a number of different suggestions to the admins which would be easy to impement and would solve this problem, but have been ignored.
So yes. This is a huge double standard.
I'm not the only person with this issue. If one were to read external feedback on other websites one of the main reasons Chess.com is not used over other sites is the cesspool of ignorant chat here.
I would suggest someone address the issue rather than hand-wave it away if they plan on growing and maintaining a paying customer base.
I do understand the filter is being enforced by a computer. This is why I am suggesting that paying members be given more leeway than non-paying members. At least a warning before an instant kick-ban. Otherwise why even pay? Every service here is available for free and usually higher quality on other websites. Except, in my mind, the ability to play many players, lots of them people I meet in real life who...gasp...I may occasionally utter a cuss word to because that's how we speak to each other.
