I tend to want to trade my bishops for my opponents knights, I guess the thought of seeing my king and queen at the mercy of a royal fork is devestating! I can deal with an end game against two bishops because I am better at being a forker than a forkee!! Does anybody else suffer from knight-a-phobia?
Nope. Cannot say I have. Before you sacrifice Bishops for knights, analyze the position and determine whether it is open or closed. If it is closed, it might be best to sacrifice, if it is open, it might be best to rethink your move.
lol well this knight-a-phobia sounds interesting but i'd say that knights arent much to fear. Sure they are known to be the piece to fork with but there are many precautions to deal with this. Such as keep your pieces connected! This will help coordinate your attack and defense methods. Also make sure to look into the next couple moves if the fork is coming PREPARE!
