king on b1 is the Karstedt fortress (everything else is as you have illustrated)

Great topic!

BottleNeck12

Wish how does this work

MistakeEraser

this can never be broken

BottleNeck12

Wait so if we are drawing this then do we move the king forever?

MistakeEraser

white just moves their king forever

BottleNeck12

And his king can’t come in cause of the knight

Terminated800

Damn, that’s cool

MistakeEraser

as long as you don't premove this is an easy draw

JamesColeman

I actually had this on here a couple of years ago, although it was in a different corner. My opponent played the equivalent of what here would be …Kb4, I played Ka2, and his Q (which was on something like e8) went to e1, getting forked to Nc2 - thankfully I won on time without having to complete the B and N checkmate lol

MistakeEraser

interesting, a longer time control would mean a draw

I don't understand a single thing please I suck at chess

BottleNeck12

Basically for checkmate to happe. Black would need to bring their king towards our kk g

BottleNeck12

King but they can’t enter bishop knight bishop controlling proper squares

BottleNeck12

So it is a draw

BottleNeck12

Because neither side can make progress
