If you play against me (I have a N) than it's a draw. Actually not so hard to play I think...
k+R v. K+N
In scanning all the posts I did not see the K+N fortress mentioned.
Once the K and N have gotten into the fortress position it is a dead draw.

Well, that's the basics yes. IIRC there are something like 14 reciprocal zugzwang positions where the winning lines contain a move or two that arne't always so obvious.

Reciprocal Zugzwang! Has that got anything to do with WooTang the rap group?
wafflemaster, you have go to get out of the house more. You've been reading John Nunn's endgame series haven't you?
Young man, your prowess at this game bespeaks a wasted youth.

Heh, no :) I don't remember ever seeing the book in person actually. But there's an expert at my club who, for whatever reason, seems to want to have GM level endgame skills, and knows these obscure positions by memory. He does have nunns book.
The up-side is he'll want to practice B+R vs R or N+B vs king positions on the clock sometimes, and in those days it helped me remember the proper technique. It's been a while for me though, not sure I could do the B+R vs R anymore. (I was never interested in the obscure lost positions involving N vs R)
Is a king and rook vs a king and knight a theroretical draw?
