Kramnik cheater?

I am skeptical. I studied some tactics of Kramnik in a game against Karpov, I was dumbfounded at their complexity. If that dude really cheats, he must have taken more toilet breaks in the history of chess...

If Kramnik is so great why has he never won the Russian national chess championship whereas Svidler has won it 7 times!

Incidentally it is not right to accuse someone  publicly of cheating without having an iota of evidence...the op is completley out of order.

In his defense, perhaps he wasn't as worried about it as he was the WCC he won, or the candidates matches he has played well in... ?

I was just drawing attention to the fact that this thread won't surpass the level of trivial/insignificant banter if you're not going to give a single piece of evidence of your well-informed hunch

Not worried about winning his national championship !; surely his ego wouldn't allow such a casual attitude.

... so what you're saying is that Kramnik is The King, and the toilet is his throne?

For the record, I consider the OP's cheating accusation... if that's what it is... to be both ludicrous and completely unjustified.

I love prunes and they don't seem to adversely affect me...but prune juice is a bit much...

Perhaps you are right but, I have never seen any documentation to say that he is an ego maniac...

OP must be thinking of this guy

If a player made a strange move without going to the bathroom first, then I would think they might be cheating.  However, releasing tension allows energy to be used by the brain.  You feel lighter and more relaxed and can think more clearly. I often play chess online and while I wait for my opponent to move I too sit on the toilet and think about the position in my head.  You make the same facial expression as when you are over the board.

You read something about facial expressions and constipation I think. Not too sure really.

Hence the popularity of tablets and i-pads.

Anyway BG have Ivanov so Topalov is on a sticky wicket now...

PerfectConscience

Besides those obvious ways of cheating, there is another form of cheating using outside cues. Although we can't be absolutely sure for now who is cheating and who is not, rest assured that there is cheating and one day the cats will be out.

I've modeled my entire white repetoire after Kramnik really. He's definitely clean. One of the best players this world has ever seen. These guys are just amazing.

I agree, Kramnik is a gigantic cheater who should be lined up against the wall and shot. It's so unsportsmanlike to checkmate the opponent's king, prisoners of war should be shown mercy as stated by the Geneva Convention.

Actually Steve212000, it's libel: slander is for the spoken word. But your point is well taken -- he wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

If 'Congofx' actually lives in England (as well as flying the flag) he should be aware that it has some of the most punitive libel laws in any of the western democracies.

Fortunately for him -- and for chess.com -- Kramnik's lawyers are not likely to be calling as nobody who mattters cares much what he says.

It might be a different story if a titled player started making similar baseless accusations, at which point chess.com would have to lawyer up.

I'm curious to know what chess.com's policy is in this area.

HAHA I wonder if kramnik will shake topalovs hand when it's time to rumble lmao
