lol okay ty :) Is there much info on the elephant gambit on this site or on the internet, or will I have to get some more books?
Latvian Gambit Study Partners?

So you're allowed to give your opinion on it as you did in post 1, but no one else is?

of course he can but i would prefer that he didn't do it in my thread. Is there anything wrong with that?

1. Yes there is something wrong with you being allowed to give your opinion in a thread and no one else. And 2. It's not your thread, you just made the 1st post of it. It belongs to the community.

But i wasn't asking for an opinion!! I was asking for a player to study the latvian with. Not an opinion! And fine it may not be my thread but I decided the topic of it when i made it. If he wants to discuss something else he can make his own thread on it!

I'll stop trying to convince you. What I'm saying is perfectly simple, but it's obvious you just can't admit when you're wrong.

FYI, there are two books on the Latvian Gambit listed on Ebay HERE.

lol i have stopped playing it now -- too many losses with it as i usually come out of the opening a pawn down and rarely get to the exciting lines, e4 e5 Nf3 f5 Nxe5 Nc6 Qh5+ g6 Nxg6 Nf6 Qh3 hxg6 Qxh1 Qe7. Now i'm learning the French as Black instead :)
what opening do you recommend pfren that is sane+sound but with similar attacking chances to the Latvian and the Danish?
