So a few days ago, I got the opportunity to play former women's world blitz champion Bibisara Assaubayeva, and I encountered the following line:

I didn't capitalize in the opening after O-O?, but analyzed the opening more and thought "well let's see if I get that again some time." Cue a few minutes ago:

Ngl I'm still shaking, it's not every day you get to play players of Nepomniachtchi's caliber. Hope this was instructive!

Did you ...

Did you just beat Nepo in blitz? ... ?!?!

Wow. I tip my hat to you. How's the OTB climb going? That NM certificate seems like it's calling you ...

I did. I think it's very late for Nepo and he fell for an opening idea that I just looked at, so unlucky for him. Also, beating Bibisara was hard too, she is a former world blitz champ!

One day I'll get NM, once people start showing up in Salem and Roanoke, Virginia to play. Otherwise, I'll be untitled for a while.

Wow! Crazy game, good for you! You've been 2900 before, yes? Or was that also the game that got you to cross it?

I've been 2900 before (peak 2960 something), but I didn't hit 2900 recently until last night

2900 is very impressive.

What's it take to hang out at that level? Is the speed intense? Are the tactics dizzying?
