I couldn't agree more. I don't even know if I could win the u1300 prize at the World Open.

Heh, that's scary.  I thought they had anti-sandbagging and other preventative rules?  Sure it seems the U1x00 section will be won by a U1x00+400 player... but you'd beat a 1700... or were you exaggerating?

Well done, reaching such a rating is very impressive in the short time period. I myself havent been playing for long and would love to reach similar rating in the same time frame.

However, as everyone else has pointed out, time controls drastically change the game, it is much easier to overwhelm a higher ranked player in a Blitz game. But then again, you beat a titled, 200 point higher than you player.

And lastly, NO ONE likes cockiness and showing off. Be more humble about it and you will receive much more praise.

I wonder if it's possible to see the winning games. Do they publish the section games? I'd like to go over the head to head games of the #1 and and #2 in the under 1200 or under 1300 of a big open. I mean it might be pretty amusing to see 2200+ chess played by supposed 1200s! LOL. I could write the winners fan letters, tell them I'm following their blossoming careers... and what a turn-around after losing so very many games in a row at their local chess club, congrats. ;)
