Learning to grind a game out

I am learning to take a small advantage and grind it out for a victory, not always so easy to do. I have to have the patience to stick with it , and not try to force something or find something that will not work in the end. I am learning slowly lol that sometimes the game will have to have 20 or so more moves and that victory in that game is not going to come quickly.

The average length of a game is about 40

I have  played a bunch of 50 plus move games  on correspondance, even some of the 40 move games were grinds, where you had to have the patience to stay with a small small advantage and take it home.
