They blunder vs 2700 2800 opponents, not vs 2400.

Leela (2400) vs scorpio (2990 ) on TCEC is live now .Please not leela is playing without GPU, she is severly handicapped.

Result so far, Scorpio 3, Leela 1, draw 1.

Managed a draw in an opposite-colored bishop endgame. It was clear the position was 100% dead drawn towards the end, but Leela remained over 70% confident throughout the whole endgame till the very last move for some reason. Guess it’s just part of the common trend with these engines, that the endgame +/-‘s they give are often incorrect.

I told you several times, that play.lczero.orgis for demonstration only. She think only 200 positions in normal mode and 2000 in hard mode. In that match it was full mode, she might think about 200,000-300,000 positions per turn.

Maybe they can upgrade the demo...but I dont see any future in this version of Leela.

Lets say Leela is 1700 in demo..hard mode. But if its playing 1 e4 e6 2 d4 d5 3 e5 c5 4 c3 Qa5, thats even worse than a 1700 human...its thinks there is a tactic there. Not to mention it thinks it has the edge of the probability of winning.

That leela server is run by one guy only, a university student. He has Nvidia 960 ( i think). To upgrade the hardware, he will need more money, not to mention about electricity and server cost. And also , he has to share his resource, that old graphic card , to dozen or hundreds of people around the world that are requesting the game simultaneously.

Everyone doing Leela project are volunteers, the same as stockfish project.

Very unlikely.  It will be technically much challenging. There is mac os version of Leela ,  that version is more challenging to install than windows version.

Okay. Thanks. I might try it out on my work laptop, then.

So after the 46 games conclusion on the tournaments on TCEC, we had the following results of the LC0 on 44 cores against Scorpio 2.79, Stockfish 1.0 and Fruit 2.1:

LC0 - Scorpio +4 =3 -13 -168 ELO
LC0 - Stockfish 1.0 +7 = 3 -10 -53 ELO
