2200s are not beginners.

That's a fact

Well come to Russia and tell this to my local chess club , they will probably laugh at ypu , because you are pather trying to brag how good you are with your 22 hundred.

It's Russia remember in our local club can come 3 to 4 GM's on a normal day to play blitz plenty of IM's and tons of FM's and many many players withouttitles who's FIDE rating can be well over 2500 I've seen it myself personally , that's EXACTLY WHY we have a special day for noobs on Sundays anyone can participate as long as your rating below 2300

Wait so your country count chesscom rating instead of fide or uscf rating?

What? Ratings are used where... they are used. If someone plays in the US... they would use USCF. You can't use one rating outside of where it originated. He is talking about how well they are regarded.

@ESP-918, you are not a 2300 player. If you were, you would be an FM. It's as simple as that. Online ratings don't define a player. You are rated 2068 on Lichess, which just proves my point. So if you wanna know how good, or bad, you really are, play some otb tournaments. Judging by your online games, you're in for a rude awakening.

Did you mean to quote me o.O?

I am a 2300 blitz player here on chess.com

Online ratings dont define player

2068 on L chess you are rated

THAT'S EXACTLY why I said I'm a beginner and now I'm an intermediate player . But people think I'm the best player out there I'm trying to explain to them that rating dont mean anything and 2300 isn't all that much to brag about, that's WHY I call my self BEGINNER , but they say I'm a troll.

Nope. I definitely don't.

Anyway it's a false dichotomy. You're not either great or a beginner. Chess skill is a continuum.

nTzT

So, the average person that plays 32 000 games and has chess as their main hobby most likely for 6+ years is a beginner. Good logic. Not sure if you are trolling tbh.

In Russia you are a beginner only UNDER 2300 rating and I'm above so I'm an intermediate player.

The word beginner is the reason why he sounds like a troll. I’m pretty sure beginners don’t even know what en passant is or even the basic rules of castling.

Even if that were true...

Then go brag to Russians. No one here cares.

Telling him he's wrong just helps feed his pathology. I guess I should just stop commenting.

Ah alright, so 99.9+% of people are beginners. No sane person thinks this way.

That's is true ! BUT NOT IN RUSSIA! ! !

With the same logic, you can be a boxer with 100 amateur fights and 50 professional fights, but you’re still a “beginner” because you’re not at the top 1%. So that means as of 2021 Mike Tyson is just a “beginner” boxer.

On the positive side, he's commenting in a forum he didn't create. That way he can't block people like me and steven for pointing out he's a troll and/or dumb.

I'm not bragging about anything, this is not even my thread , I just answered this thread and you and your friends started attacking me with all the accusations I don't even know why, if no one cares then shouldn't be a problem, just don't spam forum.

llama47

Ooooooh. I see.

He took 32,000 games to pass the beginner level.

If he tells this to Russians they will laugh at him.

neveraskmeforadraw

ESP-918 why would your chess.com ratung be more relevant than your lichess rating where you're rated 2068. It makes no sense to me.

llama47

@esp-918

In Russia if you need 32,000 games to reach 2300 then you are still considered a beginner.

Sorry, you should try harder.
