Let's sum it up.

Of course I accept that the door theory is only my opinion,a wild and almost hysterical guess if you will and so I am still open to suggestion.

Perhaps the sculpture is inflatable and was transported deflated.

Am I the only one who things it is sad to have more forum points than chess score on the profile?

I'm not too concerned about it.  I mean, it's not too realistic to think my chess rating is going to get up to 4200 to pass my current points value, even if I study real hard instead of playing in the forums . . .

Hmmm-- if it was self-inflating, via farting, would it be able to inflate itself if it wasn't already first inflated and thus present to generate the inflating fart?

Btw, do you guy not know what "spam" is? Spam means a form of mass advertisement.

btw, g(x) looks like -((x-2.5)^2), just saying for completeness ...

yes, it does look like a flip of f(x) ( = x^2 ) across the x-axis, thus the negative sign out front in g(x). But, and my eyes are not what they use to be, g(x) appears to intersect the x-axis at the point (3,0) and also appears to have a y-intercept of (0,-9) which is more suggestive of g(x) = - [( x - 3.0 )^2], that is a translation of the flipped f(x) by three to the right . . .  of course only noting this for the purpose of completeness

You better get with it.  The OP of a thread should be 1 step ahead of the thread's thought-evolution, not 2 steps behind!

Whaever it it, I totally complain and consider no fair to losse points base just on spelling. They have to fix that... or I will find another better chess website.

I'm pretty sure that's been taken care of. Cool

you need more compact notation, dudes

g(x)= -f(x-3)

Couldn't one say (with a substitution for the dummy variable) that:

-g(u+3) = f(u)        How's that for compactness?    Tongue out

I sense your meaning ,to sum up,if I may : could the fart exists without the fartee?

we will need to call in the experts ,where is winerkleiner?

I'm sitting on the pot.

Well I read thru all 231 posts and tho there is some funny stuff here I'm very confused now and I can't sum up ( I hate it when that happens ), must be all of that math stuff towards the end. Lets see now, if a+b=c and if x+y=z then how much is m equal to ??? ( oh darn I'm so confused )

And talking about PI, today is march 16, the international day of PI :D how about that?

Here in the Upper Peninsula the value of pi rounds to 3.14, so we celebrate Pi Day on March 14. Cool

@cystem_phailure - its amazing how many values of Pi there are, it must vary with time zone, country, state or neighborhood?  btw, epic name & photo

@chrisr2212212112... - I'm on it.  Practice makes boring, I mean perfect. You are definitely my mentor. (have I just been recruited to the "Dark Side"?)  btw, I think your name is the continued fraction representation of Pi !?! (that is, in your locality)
