Letting time run out instead of resigning.
Think of it as tribute by the guy who ran away. He gave you the easiest victory in chess. If you don't even have to move to win, there can't be an easier win than that. So by his first tribute is that he felt so overwhelmed by you that he (literally) ran away.
Then the second tribute is that he ran away after giving you the easiest win possible in chess. And the third tribute is that he left you time on the clock to enjoy this victory while you surf the internet for a few minutes.
Those who abandon chess games and run away are the coolest have become my favorite kind of chess opponents. I don't know why you complain.

People should get banned if their time runs out and they waited for more than a minute and it happens alot
