Live Chess and Aborting

 I've started playing live recently, I have a lowly rating of around 1200, I'm astonished how many games are aborted, even by people only 50 points ahead in rating. I've not noticed this in my usual one day a move games, is there some Live Chess etiquette I'm unaware of?

Oh, there is no doubt the British are "popular", but is that a good thing?

 Just a joke, look how the world loves you lot...lol, being top dog has problems that stick around for centuries, we've dealt with decline with irony ( I seem to remember the Greeks did something similar with the Romans :))
