When your brain-washing wears off and you emerge from that commune into the stark reality of the modern world, boy, you've a shock coming.

I'm not trying to start an argument, it just annoys me to see this junk in the chess forums instead of in Open Discussion.

...Because calling something garbage never starts an argument? Undecided

^ Maybe he was disillusioned by the fake Rapture.

Yep, that's called religion.

To all those telling others to take their "religious garbage" (nonsense, gobblety goop, whatever you want to call it) elsewhere, you need to realize that by expressing that wish in such a non-neutral tone, you are not-so-subtly expressing a religious view of your own, while at the same time trying deny that right to others.  If you don't want to hear their views, what makes you think the rest of us want to hear yours?  Personally, I think that it is unfortunate that chess.com has to have rules about refraning from religious, political, other controversial material on its forums, as I actually like having informed, even heated debates.  But it does make sense to try to retain some peace and order on a site devoted to a very non-controversial topic.  But anyway, if you are going to insist on compliance to the rule, you might as well start by practicing yourself.

And you should be a clown; it would be a great disquise for an assassin.

Half the people here are insisting that religion isn't religious, while the other half are yelling at each other to shut up.

Take your religious lies and garbage out of the chess forum and into open discussion.  That way it can be ignored in the proper place instead of having to be ignored here.

That wasn't expressing a view? Undecided

I'm not expressing a view.  Religion doesn't belong on forums that are about chess.  If someone was continually posting waffles on a discussion of a Kasparov game, would you tell them to take that garbage somewhere else?  It's completely off topic and shouldn't be on the forum.  The same goes for religion.

No, I would not.  I like waffles (Not saying I'm a non-religious person, but I'm not allowed to talk about that here).  Seriously, couldn't you come up with a better analogy than that?

You could just as easily just say to take their religious views elsewhere.  That way you are not implying dissagreement with their views, but just saying that it shouldn't be discussed here.

Wow, what happened?  A million posts in the space of about 5 min!

I heard you guys were talking about the rapture?

It was expressing frustration.  Frustration at the fact that people can't just leave chess to be chess... They have to post scripture on the daily puzzle and put God in the forums whenever possible.  Just let chess be chess.  Yes, I probably made that more negative than it had to be, but I was annoyed at people posting their beliefs  on a chess forum.

No, you didn't.  Congratulations.  I think you're getting it!  On that note there was a pretty seamless transition between the topic about live chess being down, a joke about the rapture (technically religious material), and finally this.  It was kindof inevitable.

How dare you ask such a question?  Oh well, this topic would have died anyway.  Anyone who doesn't want to discuss can just leave.  It's not like religious debate has ruined an otherwise "healthly" thread.

So anyway, in what way do atheists deny that Jesus existed?
