llive chess vs online chess ratings

i'm not actually very particular to ratings, i just noticed the huge difference in my live chess and online chess ratings... so lately, i'm trying to be serious in my live chess as i want to prop up my ratings (only in bullet and blitz which both hovers around 1600-1750, my other live chess rating is about 1400)... this is so i can catch up with my online rating (just cracked 2000).. after trying so hard and playing so many games, my live chess ratings remained the same, and perhaps this is my true live chess ratings..so the only way for my live chess and online chess ratings to be the same is if my online chess rating goes down (which by the way is still going up)...

so i'm just curious, who here has higher live chess rating than online?

take a look at the distribution statistics under "view players" on the online and live chess main pages, and you will see that the mean distribution for online chess is about 200 points higher than the distributions for live chess.

thanks for the info, did not know there's some feature like that.. so the disparity between my ratings is not at all unusual..=)
