Logical Chess Move by Move question

I just received Logical Chess Move by Move by Chernev today (woot!).  I have a question though.  After a lot of moves, the marking (D) shows up just like that, right after the move is listed.  I checked the notations page in the book and it's not described.  Any ideas about what it means, besides "Dumbass," which he may very well be calling me based on my incorrect guessing of the moves?  But how did he know? Smile Thanks.

Dumbasses do not ask questions, and therefore they remain dumbasses. No one knows all of the answers.
