long castling

who has the longest long castle??

I guess it is only two squares... but if you play 960 you have a loonger castle... who's is the longest?

The longest castle in 960 would be with the King on a1. The king would move from a1 to g1.

In a normal game the king always moves 2 squares.

So that's about 7? It goes 7 squares? Someone told me the black pieces can go from like 12-18...

The number of squares for black would be the same, just the starting square would be different.

Sorry, but that's incorrect. In 960, one of the rules is that the king must start between the rooks, so b1 to g1 is the longest possible castle.

Yeah, I probably should have looked that up to be sure.
