long games unplayable on internet chess

As a new player here that only plays long time controls I have come to the realisation that about 20-30% of my opponents are using engine assistance in some format.
In some long games I am smashing FM titled / 2000 rated players and in other games I am losing to people that have 900bullet or 1400 blitz ratings. So many of my opponents have 99+ accuracy post analysis and make inexplicably good moves despite being lower rated. I even had one game where the player was insanely strong and won the exchange against me, but when both of our time started rinning low he mysteriously became weaker than a 1000 rated player and i mated him despite being heavy material down.
Some games I gain a significant advantage against an opponent, and then they begin to play flawlessly. It seems to be a mix of weird behaviours.
As someone that just genuinely wants to play long games in order to improve this is really disapponting. Am i stuck to playing bullet blitz and solving puzzles online? I think i already know that the answer is yes...
