Looking for a better move

i agree the knight to c6 wins for white to me, don't see anything black can do to avoid a loss of material.

Nc6 is by far the best move. It will either win a piece or lead to mate:
(1) Move the queen
(a) Move it to a spot to recapture on e7 -> the black rook will fall
(b) Move to another spot (a8) -> the bishop and then the rook will fall
(2) Move the king to f8 protect the bishop -> mate in three (Qh7, Ke8, Qg8+, Bf8, Qf7#)
(3) Move the rook to d4 -> win the rook and possibly the bishop (Nxd8, Rxe4, Rxe4; if black decides to take the knight: e7, Bx37 or the pawn will queen, Rxe7).
Too bad you lost the match, you had your opponent on the knees. Tough luck!

Let me evaluate:
- Five pawns vs. five pawns, one of which is passed but blockaded
- Knight vs. bishop with pawns on both sides of the board
- The g6 square is terribly weak, can it be useful to me?
- Queenside majority and therefore a potential passed c-pawn for black
- Strong e-file pressure vs. strong d-file pressure, though the passed e-pawn obstructs this file
- Knight can fork at c6, does this win material by force? If not I could at least get rid of his darksquare defender and blockader.
I'd say white is winning due to the overloaded Be7 and the knight's ability to fork queen and bishop.
What are some potential plans? Exchanging minor pieces looks good, but is it viable? The first candidate is Nc6 supporting the pawn and substituting one blockader for another (the queen, which is a poor blockader) while forking the queen and bishop, no checks can discombobulate it.
1.Nc6,Qd6 2.Nxe7+,Qxe7 3.Qxd5 winning a piece, no need to look at anything else since anything not 1...Qd6 drops the bishop while the rook seems gone no matter what. In light of being able to win material by force the queenside majority suddenly seems trivial.

I never even saw Nc6!! I was so focused on the K-side. thanks for the info. Here's the game until I made a fatal blunder and he was able to eventually pick off my K-side pawns

Thanks for all the comments. Casper and Oogie, you made great insights. What do you think of my plan in the midddle game, and the endgame strategy. In the middle game, my plan was to get my K to safety and fight for control of the center while eliminating good squares for his peices. In the middle game I succeeded. In the endgame I went after his Q-side pawns, but didn't play accurately.
