There is a very good thread in these forums, with hundreds of pictures, which may have it. I think the thread is called "Chess photos", but I'm not sure.
Looking for a special picture ...

One of the stories going round was that Alekhine choked on a piece of meat. His dishes looked like he licked the platter clean. If he choked on a piece of meat it must have been the very last bite that did him in !
Sorry I cant buy the kgb---There was already an agreement between Botvinnik and Alekhine to play for the title soon. And being the chess crazy nation that Russia was I dont think the kgb was the culprit. Everyone knew the title was Botvinniks for the taking. The French were very severe with people who collaborated with the Germans. Perhaps they sent some people over to take care of Alekhine. And of course---he was in poor health --- maybe a heart attack or cirrhosis of the liver or some other problem. I doubt if we ever will know the truth. The chess set looks like a staged shot.
Greetings all,
Im lokking for a photo I saw some years ago but cant fint again.
Its from a match - maybe a world championship, its old, black and white.
One player is looking at the board and the other looks "obove" his glasses towards his oppoinent. It might have had the title "the look".
