Looking For Advice On Coaching?

Sort:
DanielGuel

Soon, I might start coaching a few young players from my local chess club. The small start of (hopefully) a successful coaching career!

Any advice on coaching young improving players? A couple of my students will be in the 1200-1300 range, which is currently the max rating.

Thanks!

@tomridl, are you looking for private coaching? I'm not really available to do that yet... though I plan to in the future.

I have the complete chess tactics workbook (I think that's what it's called), which is good for beginners progressing. I also am familiar with how to beat your dad at chess.

Any more recommendations would be appreciated! happy.png

There's a player here on chess.com who has a good blog where he talks about his junior classes. I think he also has some ebooks that he uses in his classes, http://chessskill.blogspot.com/
