That's a good point. I think I'm more interested in a regular partner right now because as a beginner, I'm having trouble with consistent practice and a partner would keep me more accountable so in the long run I'll be better able to make use of all these resources :)
Looking for an online chess partner

It would also be cool to have someone to discuss openings/combos/analyze the games afterward with, and I think a partner would be more willing to do so than a one-off opponent [at least at my current level, anyways] LMK if this sounds good to you :)
I'd be happy to help out. I don't have a lot of time for live chess, but if you're willing to play correspondence with me, hopefully I can help you out a bit.
Hi everyone! My name's Alaska and I'm new to chess.com and the world of tournament chess. I am looking for a consistent partner to play and improve my chess with, at least once a week. I am flexible on time control but prefer not to do blitz games right now. I'm a young professional that moves around a lot these days which is why I prefer an online partner right now. I haven't played enough rated tournaments to get an official rating but my guesstimate is around 1100, I have done some reading on tactics and strategy but the main issue I've been having with progressing is maintaining a consistent practice schedule/partners and I figured online might be a better way to manage that. When I do play consistently I find my rate of improvement to be quite fast so I am seeking a partner with similar current level/improvement rates if that makes sense?
Or if you know of any websites/organizations where I can easily find such a partner, that'd be great too :)
Thanks so much for reading!
