I'm looking to join a group with some fairly talented players who would not mind assisting me in my development. I'm in my mid thirties and have been a serious (semi pro) poker player for years. I discovered chess in January and now I'm totally hooked. I'm very amibtious and keen to get better quickly.
If anyone would mind and ambitious noob in their group,please let me know. I'm currently at 863.My goal is to be 1200 or above by May 1st.I see some incremental improvements in my game and I learn a few openings,common lines and tactics.So yeah, I'm looking for a mentor, anyone looking for a protege? :)
